The Kaukauna Jayvee wrestling team finished their second consecutive undefeated season with a 12 win and no loss record for 1965–66 and a 24 win and no loss record since the start of wrestling in 1964. In this span the team has racked up 208 victories, 67 losses and eight ties.

The death of Peter Schuh Friday at the age of 80 marked the end of a generation, “the last of the rugged individuals”, as one person commented at the funeral home. A bachelor, he lived alone in the home of his boyhood on Taylor Street where he worked as a carpenter. His home had no electricity, no city water, no telephone. He had no insurance, no social security, no bank account, no accumulated money. Each year he borrowed the money from a niece for his taxes and paid off as he did carpenter work throughout the year.

The ice jam at the railroad bridge serving Thilmany Pulp and Paper Company began to build up again Tuesday. The combination of cold weather and high water caused the jam at the railroad bridge.

The visiting students from Rufus King High School Milwaukee all agreed that their stay in Kaukauna was not what they had expected. “The people here were very kind and friendly to us.  Sharing everyday activities with the families we were staying with was the best part. We were treated just like members of the family.  We all enjoyed all the KHS activities it was very different from the activates in our school.”

William Schiefelbein, Jr., and his father took the honors in the Kaukauna Recreation Department’s Annual Father-Son Bowling Tournament Saturday at the Bowling Bar. The dual combined for the day's top series, a 786 score.
