Today is the day to remain on your guard!  If you hear that the Fox River has risen above the bridge or that the school has burned down, don’t go rushing off to be the first one to view the catastrophe because you most certainly will be fooled. April Fools' Day, also as All Fools Day, is the name given to April 1 in the allusion or sending them on “fools errands.”

Two small children had a frightening ride Saturday afternoon when a pick-up truck, which they were in, rolled out of control on Main Avenue, jumped a curb and struck the Kaukauna Honor Roll before coming to a stop. Their father Kenneth Thon had stopped on the bridge to pick up a board that had fallen from the rear of the truck. Before he could return, the truck began rolling down the bridge. The children three-year-old Corliss and two-year-old Dean were uninjured, but the truck sustained $200 damage.
