The Kromer Hotel establishment maintained by the late George J. Kromer, Sr. for thirty seven years will be continued by Mrs. Kromer under the management of her son, Arthur, who will do everything in his power to retain the popularity of the hotel.

Kaukauna was defeated by the Green Bay Packers 56–0 last Sunday at Green Bay. Clean sportsmanship and hard fighting marked the initial game of the American Legion’s football squad with the veteran Green Bay Packers. Nearly 300 fans accompanied the Kaukauna Eleven to the battle ground and loyally stood by the home team which pluckily fought hard in spite of the score of their opponents, the game was unmarred by any form of “dirty” football. To make a touchdown on this redoubtable team would be equivalent to a victory over an ordinary team and quite a feather in the Legion’s cap. It was not until the last quarter when the Legion team was exhausted that the Packers piled up points almost at will. There was no scoring in the first quarter although the Packers almost reached Kaukauna’s goal post three times, but Kaukauna rallied and held for down. In the second period the Packers again forced the ball into our territory where a touchdown seemed certain, but Kaukauna kept a stone wall on the yard line. The second half touchdowns came oftener for the Packers adding 42 points to the dozen already tallied but it became necessary for Green Bay to recall its first line men with refreshed players. Juneau Husting as half back, Carl Rennicke as center, Red Lindauer as quarterback and Regenfuss as full back starred for Kaukauna and kept the home fans standing with excitement. Juneau was hobbling around town with a cane as the result of his efforts and will be out of next Sunday’s game with Menasha. Touchdowns – Lambeau 3; Dalton 3; Martell 1; Medley 1.

The Moloch Company will locate in Kaukauna and this city will soon have an industrial plant within its corporate limits which will employ, in the near future, several hundred well paid skilled workmen and the foundation laid for a bigger and better Kaukauna, as the result of action taken this past week by the directors of the Moloch Company and the committee elected by the local subscribers to the Moloch $100,000 building fund.
