Rt. Rev. Paul Rhode

The demonstration took place at Kaukauna Wednesday evening for the Rt. Rev. Paul Rhode, the new Bishop of the Green Bay Diocese when he arrived here on his way to Green Bay. The great crowd of all the school children of both parishes carrying American flags and shouting was the leading feature of this outpouring of people to greet their new Bishop.

New York – Like a ghost Andrew O’Brian appeared to St. Peter’s church at mass. At the earlier mass prayers had been said for him and no one doubted it was he who had been buried at the church cemetery following the finding of his body in the Hudson River. His body was possibly identified by the Chief of Police and Dr. Poucher, who knew O’Brian well. After the excitement due to his appearance, he explained he had been working on a farm. Now it must be determined who is buried next to his wife.

A new extension by the lighting system to Little Chute is furnished by the Kaukauna electric power plant on Saturday. No doubt the village board will soon place street lighting.

Tons of carp are being taken from Little Lake Butte des Morts under a law which allows the netting of rough fish. A shipment of five tons was made from Menasha to Chicago. At this rate there may be some good fishing eventually.
