Harry De Bruin, on right of Kimberly,
won the President’s cup tournament at Fox Valley Golf Club Saturday with a
round of 43-39-82, the best round of his career. He was presented the President’s Cup from Dr.
E, J. Hoffman, the club’s president.
August 3, 1962
Miss Mary Margaret
DeClercq
has assumed the duties of executive secretary of the Kaukauna Chamber of
Commerce.
August 8, 1962
Frank J. Pechman is in
Chicago to help select the year’s best professional photography for the public display
at the 71st Annual Exhibition of Professional Photography.
August 15, 1962
George McElroy, firing an 83 gross
and 63 net score emerged as the winner of the 1962 Senior Tournament at the Fox
Valley Golf Club Saturday.
August 22, 1962
A solemn high mass celebrated
the vesture of Father Peter Salm of St. Mary’s Kaukauna as monsignor on
Thursday.
Dede’s Diplomats, Kaukauna’s competition baton
twirling corps, received the third-place trophy at the State Fair competition at
West Allis. The 17-member twirling corps is under the supervision of Mrs. David
“Dede” Nagan, instructor of the Kaukauna recreation department’s twirling
classes and for the Little Chute Bonnie Lassies corps.
August 29, 1962
A possible record
enrollment of student teachers at the Outagamie County Teachers College was
predicted by the President E. H. Gordon this week as plans got underway for student
registration.

the Kaukauna pool this summer are pictured above. Seated are Miss Diane O’Dell

Three of the lifeguards
at the Memorial swimming pool this summer are Daniel Reichel, Miss Joanne Haen
and William Van Dyke.
Freshman Lifeguards at
the Kaukauna Memorial pool this summer include Miss Marilyn Hilgenberg, Miss
Lindy Kemp and Jeffrey DeBruin.
Three new members of
the Kaukauna swimming pool lifeguarding staff for this summer are Senior classmates.
Miss Sandra Gerhartz, Miss Judie Mach and Miss Edith Van Dyke.
