they copped a 6 to 0 Homecoming victory at the Doty Bayorgeon recreation area
gridiron.

"central location" factor and the land availability are the primary
factors for the selection.

The Kaukauna Galloping Ghost cross-country team
wound up their 1964 season Saturday as they emerged in a tie for seventh and
eighth places with Eau Claire North high school. Following their meet in Wausau
they named Bill Niesen the 1964 co-captain with George Peebles as the most
valuable runner for the season. In the nine meets this year, in which Niesen
participated, he finished first for the Kaws in six races and second in three.
The Kaukauna Galloping Ghost girders Saturday
afternoon moved into a tie for first place in the mid-East conference as they
rolled over the Purple Raiders of Two Rivers by a 26-0 margin. This fifth win
for the Ghost against a single loss, deadlocks the Kaws with the Neenah Rockets
at the top of the list. A blocked punt by Gary Schubring early in the first
period led the Ghost to their first score. Schubring, who had a busy afternoon,
stopped three punts, rolling through the Two Rivers line. One of the most dramatic
climaxes in the history of the mid-East conference football appears to be in
the offering next Saturday afternoon at Neenah as the Kaukauna Galloping Ghost
take on the Neenah Rockets in a winner take all session to decide the 1964
championship. At the present time the Ghost and Rockets are leading the M–E
pack, each with five wins and one loss in the conference season.
