Two new store fronts are adding to the bright new look in downtown Kaukauna.  The J. J. Martens Company on Third Street has installed an open style of front which lets the shopper view the entire store.  The S. J. Berens store is getting a complete new front sidewalk to roof.  The glass work and glass door will give the store a look in front with a view of the entire store.

The 1962 Kaukauna high school football season completed this past week and will undoubtedly go down as a history maker. This season saw the Galloping Ghosts annex their 20th straight victory covering two and a half seasons. This season was the first time the team played with no home field due to the construction of the high school.

Mayor Joseph Bayorgeon Tuesday evening received the approval of the Kaukauna Common Council to go ahead with plans for improving lands currently owned and occupied by the Chicago Northwestern Railroad on the south side.
