Julian
Bichler,
a 39-year-old former supervising principal of Augusta, Wisconsin schools was recently
named to replace the late Paul E. Little as the Kaukauna High School Principal,
according to an announcement made this week by Superintendent T. H. Boebel.
Air
Force Staff Sergeant John J. Hanges of Kimberly is the recruiter at the
Kaukauna post office.
A number of Kaukauna football fans will be in
the crowd that is expected to jam Stevens Point athletic field Saturday when
the Green Bay Packers hold their intrasquad game. Mark Schommer, Kaukauna who
played his college ball at Stevens Point is working out with the Packer squad
and will see action.

be offered for sale at the big St. Mary’s parish auction Saturday at LaFollette
Park.

held Saturday and Sunday drew a large crowd at LaFollette park.
The entire city street
crews of Kaukauna and emergency workers from the telephone and power companies
were hard at work Tuesday morning cleaning up debris left by Monday afternoon's
storm in the city.
Eugene Randerson of Kaukauna died Wednesday
morning as a result of injuries sustained while dynamiting cement piers on the
old Kimberly bridge Monday afternoon. He was hurt by large chunks of concrete
falling on the barge from which he was working.
August 18, 1954
Kaukauna’s Jug Girard, left halfback on
the Detroit Lions, had a big day in the Lions 31-6 victory over the College
All-Stars Friday at Soldiers’ Field Chicago. Jug gained 49 yards on the ground
and kicked an extra point.

Dr. John S. Russo, director of the
Riverview Sanatorium, is receiving widespread acclaim in the United States and
'Canada, following the 'publication of a paper entitled, Pulmonary Postua
Drainage for Bronchiectasis.

With $77,468
contributed to municipal funds in 1953, the Kaukauna Electric and Water
Department leads all other municipal owned utilities in the state. The profits
for K E & W are second highest in the state.
